The FIF-PL (Interprofessional Training Fund for Liberal Professions) finances professional training for freelancers to help them maintain and develop their skills.
Liberal professionals can benefit from FIF-PL support in various sectors:
Health: Dentists, nurses, physiotherapists.
Well-being: Osteopaths, dieticians, psychologists.
Technical and intellectual services: Architects, chartered accountants, lawyers, engineers, etc.
👉 To check if you are affiliated with FIF-PL or another fund, log in to your URSSAF account, then follow these steps: go to "My documents" > "My certificates," and download the payment certificate. On this document, you will find the organization you are affiliated with.

Funding criteria and conditions
To qualify for coverage, several criteria must be met:
Sole Proprietor (EI): Be a sole proprietor (EI), including a micro-entrepreneur or the majority partner manager under the social security regime for the self-employed (TNS).
Liberal profession: Practice a liberal profession, except if you are a doctor.
URSSAF contribution: The freelancer must have paid contributions to URSSAF, even a minimal amount. This contribution is confirmed by a URSSAF payment certificate, proving eligibility for funding. In practice, the CPF is paid to URSSAF along with other contributions and is transferred by the tax administration to FIF PL.
Qualiopi certification: The training organization must be Qualiopi certified, thus ensuring the quality of training.
Core activity training: The training must be related to the practice or exercise of the freelancer's profession.
Funding request process on the extranet:
Create an account: If you do not have an account on the FIF PL website yet, start by registering via this link.
Access the extranet: Once logged in, go to My funding requests then click on Submit your request online.
Select the training organization: Click on Choose my training organization, search for the relevant organization, then select it and confirm with the green check symbol.
Complete training information: Fill in all the details related to the training, such as the date, place, and type of training.
Add supporting documents:
Your IBAN for reimbursement.
The URSSAF payment certificate mentioning FIF PL (found in your personal URSSAF space under My documents > My certificates).
The training program, provided by the training organization.
The quote or agreement, provided by the training organization.
6. Validate and wait: Once all information is provided and documents are attached, validate the file. It will take about 10 days to receive a response on the funding of your training.
Once the training is completed, a certificate of attendance and payment, completed by the training organization, is given to the freelancer. This document must then be uploaded on the FIF PL intranet as part of the funding request. Reimbursement of the advanced costs will then be made, partially or fully, according to the initially decided coverage.

Funding amounts:
FIF PL generally covers part of the training costs, with amounts adjusted according to the profession and training.
In 2024, the standard coverage is €600 per year and €200 per day for each freelancer, subject to available budgets for each sector.
This ceiling varies based on professions. For example, other software development activities receive coverage capped at €200 but only for one day of training per year. Conversely, for engineers and technical studies, the cap is higher, at €250 per day with a maximum of €1,000 per year.
E-learning training, meanwhile, is limited to 50% of the annual and daily criteria for the profession, generally €300 per year and €100 per day. Only educational costs are covered, excluding additional expenses such as transport or accommodation.
☝️ Good to know: the FIF PL reimbursement period is on average 2 to 6 months. Therefore, it is up to the self-employed professional to advance the funds.
